Being a new parent can be a bit nerve-wrecking; so many questions and new responsibilities. For the first time in your life, someone else is 100% depending on YOU... and you wouldn't trade it for the world! :)
For several months you've been planning and looking forward to creating beautiful professional portraits upon the arrival of your new little treasure. Of course you want the whole photo session day experience to run smoothly. Now that the time has come, you might have a few questions that maybe you didn't think about before. These are the top 3 questions I get asked from new parents before their newborn photo session day:
What kind of outfit should I have my baby wear going into the session? Because we will be taking baby's clothes off, I always recommend an outfit that does not have to be pulled off from the head. I prefer something that can be zipped down easily without interrupting baby too much. Oh, and because I plan on capturing your baby's sweet little toes, make sure that whatever socks you have them in are very loose and don't leave a mark on their ankle.
Do I need to bring anything? When you book your session with me, and with most other professional photographers, all you need to bring is your normal diaper bag filled with what you would if you were going out to the store. I want your experience to be a relaxed one. Let me cuddle, sooth and rock your baby while you enjoy the snacks and refreshments waiting for you in my studio. Get comfy and enjoy!
My baby's skin is so flaky, is that ok? Absolutely, yes! As a professional photographer and experienced in advanced editing programs, I am able to help smooth out skin. One thing though, I do leave some of the flakiness. In fact, some shots I take are focused on the flaky skin. I know later on you will look at the portraits and remember those little details with so much love.
